Easter Care Package for College Students – The Olden Chapters

It’s that pastel time of year again! Spring is finally in the air and Easter is on the horizon! We college students are pretty lucky to usually get Easter off during spring break or a long weekend. This is such a great time to visit family and celebrate together.
My family has always had a tradition of giving small gifts and sending care packages during this time. This is such a great tradition for college students to stock up on snacks and study materials to take on the last of the school year head on! So, in honor of this tradition, I have created a list of popular gifts to help inspire those looking to create the perfect springtime care package!
Peeps
Seriously, what even is Easter without Peeps?! Great snack, great brain food (okay probably not), but a festive goodie none-the-less! My favorite Easter study trick is to toss a peep into my morning coffee!
Cadbury Creme Eggs
Okay, another Easter staple is Cadbury Creme Eggs. There are the amazingly large eggs or the large bag of minis. Both are arguably necessary to kill that next exam!
Trail Mix
Okay, here is some ACTUAL brain food! Trail mix is a great care package stuffer. My favorite is Orchard Valley, but there are plenty of other great options out there too! Trail mix is great for those long study days or all-nighters when you just need that extra boost to get you through!
You could even go all out and get them a whole box of healthy snacks!
Clif Bars
Last on the food list is my all-time life-saving favorite: Clif Bars. And yes, I do buy them by the box. Clif Bars are seriously one of my favorite tricks when I am about to eat my arm off during the last lecture of the day. If your favorite student hasn’t discovered the art of the Clif Bar yet, do them a favor and introduce them to its brilliance!
Flashcards
Alright, I’ll be the first to admit that I am constantly going through flashcards and never seem to have enough. This is the perfect care package stuffer to help out those students prepping for exam season!
Headphones
Break time is just as important, if not more 😉 important than study time. My perfect break time is jamming out to some tunes at the gym or veg out and watch Netflix on a laptop. Either way, a good pair of headphones is the perfect gift for enjoying those crucial breaks!
Quarters
Ugh, the dreaded coin-operated laundry machines are what every college student has to deal with one time or another. Unfortunately, it seems like laundry has become more and more expensive to do! That is why quarters are seriously the best to receive in the mail!
Air Freshener
If your favorite college student is living it up in the dorms, be a doll and throw in some air fresheners in their care package, they will be grateful! You could even take this one step further and get them a diffuser, this does double duty of humidifying and diffusing their favorite essential oils!
Highlighters
Highlighters are another school supply item that just seems to disappear because they get used so often! My personal favorites are Mildliners because they have two different sized tips and have less harsh colors. Always my go to!
Thumb drives
With constant class projects, presentations and essays, thumb drives are essential in college and surprisingly fill up quickly! Especially if you choose to save your assignments or work on flash drives like I do! Either way, these guys make great little gifts!
Keurig + K Cups
Well, it is no secret that nearly all college students live off of coffee, especially during exam season. If you’re hoping to surprise your favorite student with a great gift for Easter or a springtime birthday, snag a Keurig! They will love it! And if they already have a Keurig, toss in some K Cups, an essential that is always running out!
Laptop Mouse
After purchasing a laptop mouse, my productivity has skyrocketed. It is much easier and convenient to navigate the computer screen and complete those random assignments that require a lot of “mouse-work.” I am serious! Bonus, they even make them cordless now! Who knew? Time for me to upgrade…
Apple Pencil
Okay, I’ll admit I don’t actually HAVE an Apple Pencil, but I wish I did! So do my husband and nearly half of his med-school class who are all constantly using Ipads. In this day and age, it is hard to keep up with technology but Apple Pencils seem to be more like magic than technology. Check them out!
Down Blanket
My final gift idea may be a bit random but it is a gift my husband and I recently received and it has been life changing! It might be because we frequently go camping and love spending time outside but down blankets are simply amazing! They are easily packable and are great to keep in the car or on the couch during those colder nights!
